About

Good Food, for Everyone.

I'm a registered dietitian who believes fresh, nourishing food should be within everyone's reach, from the founders and executives I work with in my practice to the families most often forgotten.

Rachel Kinzie

I have spent my career bringing real food to the people who need it most, reforming institutional kitchens, training cooks to work from scratch, and growing community gardens. Now I am building a practice, and the writing, tools, and programs, to do it at scale.

My Path

From the Classroom to the Kitchen to the Community.

  1. Foundation

    Oregon State University

    B.S., Nutrition & Dietetics · Corvallis, OR

I began my path in nutrition at Oregon State, grounding myself in the science of food and how it shapes health, the foundation for everything that followed.

  2. Training

    Michigan State University

Post-Graduate Work & Dietetic Internship · East Lansing, MI

I completed my post-graduate work and my dietetic internship at Michigan State, earning my credentials as a registered dietitian and sharpening a practical, people-first approach to nutrition care.

  3. Community Impact

    Jefferson County School District

Head Start Food Program Reform · Denver, CO

I reformed the distribution and quality of the district's Head Start food program, moving kitchens away from pre-made, low-quality meals and teaching a full kitchen staff to cook fresh, natural food for low-income families in need, then built the systems that kept it running after I left. I also helped coordinate a community garden for Jefferson County, connecting families to the food they eat.

  4. Now

    Building What's Next

    Practice, Benibel & a Nonprofit

Today I run my practice for people who want more energy, vitality, and longevity from the way they eat, partner on the Benibel nutrition app, and am launching a nonprofit to feed children and families on the margins of the Research Triangle and teach communities across the country to do the same.

My Mission

Good Food, Made Reachable, for the People Most Often Forgotten.

My work has always started with the same conviction: that fresh, nourishing food should not be a luxury. I rebuilt a Head Start food program from pre-made trays into real kitchens cooking from scratch, trained the staff to keep it going, and helped families grow their own food through a community garden. What I learned there is that the food is only half of it. The other half is a system that runs without anyone having to think about it.

Now I am carrying that work forward: a practice for people who want the energy, vitality, and longevity that eating well gives back, from food that is delicious and shared, a notebook and resource for the dietitians and practitioners doing this work everywhere, the Benibel app to make eating well doable for anyone, and a nonprofit to feed children and families on the margins of the Research Triangle and teach communities across the nation to do the same.
