Terms of Service

Last updated June 21, 2026.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of rachelkinzie.com (the "Website"), operated by Rachel Kinzie ("Rachel," "we," "us," or "our"), a registered dietitian based in the State of North Carolina, United States. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

Please read Section 1 first. It explains that these Terms cover this Website only, and that related projects, such as the Benibel application and any nonprofit work, are separate, with their own terms. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Privacy Policy.

Scope: the Website and Related Projects

rachelkinzie.com is Rachel's personal website: a blog, a window into her perspective, and a resource for dietitians and health practitioners. So there is no confusion, the Website is separate from the other projects Rachel is involved in. Benibel is a separate application with its own terms and privacy policy, and any nonprofit Rachel supports is a separate organization with its own policies. Links from this Website to those projects do not place them under these Terms.

Using the Website

You may read, share, and link to the Website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to misuse the Website, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it through automated means at scale, scrape its content for resale, or use it in any unlawful way. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website at any time.

Not Professional, Medical, or Nutrition Advice

The Website, including articles, resources, and any response from the AI assistant, provides general information for educational purposes only. It is not medical, nutritional, dietetic, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for personalized care from a qualified professional who knows your individual circumstances. Reading the Website or chatting with the assistant does not create a dietitian-client or any other professional relationship. Always consult a qualified health professional before making changes to your diet, health, or care, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read here.

The AI Assistant

The Website offers an AI assistant ("Lily") to help you find your way and to pass along messages. Lily provides general information only, can be incomplete or wrong, and does not give professional or personalized advice. Please do not share sensitive personal, health, or financial details with the assistant. Messages you send may be processed by third-party providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

The Website and its content, including text, writing, images, logos, and design, are owned by Rachel or used with permission, and are protected by applicable law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the content for commercial purposes without prior written permission. Brand names and marks of third parties, including Benibel, belong to their respective owners.

Third-Party Links and Services

The Website may link to third-party sites and services, including Benibel. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, terms, or practices. Following those links is at your own risk, and their terms and privacy policies will apply.

Disclaimers

The Website is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rachel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website or its content, including any reliance on general information provided here.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Website after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
