Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Rachel Kinzie ("Rachel," "we," "us," or "our"), a registered dietitian based in North Carolina, handles information on rachelkinzie.com (the "Website"). The Website is built and operated for Rachel by Timatsu LLC ("Timatsu"), which also stores the messages you send through it on Rachel's behalf. We collect only what we need to reply to you and to provide the services described below, and we do not sell your information. Our Terms of Service govern your use of the Website.

Information We Collect

We collect information you choose to give us and a small amount of technical information needed to run the Website:

• Contact form. When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
• Assistant conversations. Before you can chat with the AI assistant ("Lily"), you enter your name and email address. Your messages, along with the topic you choose, are processed to generate Lily's replies. Once you have sent at least one message, the conversation is sent to Rachel automatically when you leave or switch away from the page, or sooner if you choose to send it. Lily may also write a short internal summary of the conversation for Rachel; the summary is not sent to you.
• Energy Check. The Energy Check runs in your browser, and nothing is sent unless you choose Send My Results to Rachel. If you do, we collect your name, email address, any note you add, your scores, and your answer to each question, including how often a drink ends your day and how often work runs through a meal. We email your results to Rachel and a copy to you, and save them as an inquiry record, as described under Where Your Messages Go.
• Practice weekly emails. If Rachel sets up weekly plans for you as a client of her practice, we keep your name, email address, household size, shop day, pantry list, meal plan, and any note she adds in a central database that Timatsu operates on Rachel's behalf, and we email you your plan and shopping list each week. We save a copy of each email sent. These records hold meal preferences and logistics, and we do not ask for medical information for them. The emails have no unsubscribe link, so to pause or stop them, reply to one or use our contact page.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider processes limited technical information, such as your IP address and basic request logs, to deliver the Website and keep it secure. To prevent abuse, the Website keeps short-lived counters of requests per IP address, described under Data Retention.
• Sign-in. A private area of the Website is available only to a small number of authorized accounts. Signing in there uses a session cookie, described under Cookies and Local Storage.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information to:

• respond to your message and follow up with you personally;
• let you know about relevant updates if you ask us to;
• operate, secure, and improve the Website, including preventing spam and abuse; and
• comply with legal obligations.

Where Your Messages Go

When a contact form message, an assistant conversation, or a set of Energy Check results is sent, it is emailed to Rachel, and a confirmation containing your message, conversation, or results is emailed to the address you provided. A copy, including Lily's internal summary when there is one, is saved as an inquiry record in a central database that Timatsu operates on Rachel's behalf.

Service Providers

We use a small set of providers to run the Website and deliver your messages. These include our website host; an email-delivery service that sends your message to Rachel, sends you a confirmation, and sends weekly practice emails; a database provider used by Timatsu to store inquiry records, practice records, and abuse-prevention counters; and an AI model router that passes assistant conversations to third-party AI model providers to generate replies and summaries. These providers process information to perform their services for us, and the contents of your messages pass through them for that purpose. We are not affiliated with, and do not control the separate privacy practices of, separate projects such as the Benibel app, which have their own policies.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We share it only with Timatsu and the service providers described above, when required by law or to protect rights and safety, or with your consent.

Cookies and Local Storage

The Website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or advertising cookies. It uses only the following:

• Cookie notice. When you dismiss the cookie notice, a small "cookie-consent" flag is saved in your browser's local storage so the notice does not appear again. It contains no personal information.
• Session cookie. If an authorized account signs in to the private area, a secure, HttpOnly session cookie keeps that person signed in. Visitors who do not sign in never receive it.
• Spam checks. Forms and the assistant run a brief proof-of-work check in your browser to reduce spam. It does not store anything on your device or profile you.

Data Retention

Inquiry records, including assistant conversations, summaries, and Energy Check results, and practice records, including the weekly emails sent, are not deleted automatically. We keep them for as long as needed to respond to you, to provide your weekly plans, and to keep a record of our correspondence, and we delete them when you ask. Per-IP request counters used to prevent abuse are deleted within two days.

Children's Privacy

The Website is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Your Choices and Rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have shared with us, and you may decline to share information by not using the contact form or the assistant. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law. To make a request, reach out through our contact page.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive personal, health, or financial details through the Website.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
